Everybody's deserving, and we've all had a rotten life. Yea- me too. We have 10 children between my husband and I. We raised some that were not ours too. Yes- we lived in a tiny rundown house with some of the kids beds in closets-ha But- we've muddled through somehow and just having healthy kids and our health has been enough. But- we too would like to live in a nice, larger home with a place for a garden and some nice flowers. Do we deserve this more than the others? Absolutely not. However, we would like to have this opportunity. We live on a fixed income since my husband had a stroke at an early age, so we'll never have a way to get a nice home. That's it- like I said we probably ALL deserve this house, but I'd appreciate it if you'd put in a good word for my family. Thanks so much' and good luck to all of you. I'm disabled and live on $854 a month, an income (that's below poverty level.) Anyone that knows me will tell you that out of anyone, I deserve to win the lottery...or at least have a house. Too many tragedies to list that have happened in my life, but I try to keep a positive attitude and retain hope for better days. I took care of both my parents until they passed away. My Dad had lung cancer for 7 months til he passed. My Mom had Pulmonary Fibrosis & was soon bed-ridden. I took care of her for almost 2 years, and she could only feed herself. I changed her diapers and everything else. Like many people, I was abused in childhood mainly...sexually, physically, mentally. I was diagnosed with Bipolar. I've lost 2 brothers and one sister, my very best friend, a nephew, and other friends throughout the years. 8 years ago I injured my spine and am now disabled because of it. I still do at least one good deed a day and have done so since 1994 when I promised myself; trying to do my part. I could go on and on but what I really want to say more than anything, is that I want this house with every part of my being. It's my absolute lifelong dream. I've tried every other avenue but even Habitat requires a $400 a month payment and I can't swing that. It worries me that the number of votes decide who wins. Since I don't get out often, I rarely socialize and only have a few friends. I know they'll vote for me but I'll have to rely on the kindness of strangers like you. Please vote for me.
